At Mowelli we’re committed to sustainability through 2 impactful initiatives.
With Re-seat, we give Mowelli chairs with minor damages or tiny imperfections a second life.
In partnership with Sungai Design we support their mission to clean up plastic pollution by turning river plastic into beautiful chairs.
Re-seat is an innovative Mowelli concept. Slightly imperfect, minor damaged and nearly new chairs get a second life through honest re-use. Our re-seat chairs are ‘auctioned’ through a separate Instagram page, where you get the chance to buy them at an attractive price.

Re-seat chairs have minor imperfections. We share all information and details, so you exactly know what you're buying. We cannot foresee warranty on re-seat chairs. Also we cannot accept returns.

Chairs will always be in tact to use, they'll just have minor imperfections. All details will be given in the Instagram post and pictures will be shown.
Just follow our Instagram page (reseat.mowelli) and you'll stay tuned on the auction dates! You don't need to pre-registrate. We'll organise one auction every 2 weeks and we normally kick off around 17h and let the auction run untill 18h.

3. You'll receive a payment link. Complete your payment within 10 minutes and send us a proof of payment asap.
4. If payment is not made within 10 minutes, the next person in line gets the chance.
No shipment, only pick-up in Nazareth
Yes you can, just add this in DM and we'll add them to your order. You can for example buy 2 Nora dining chairs with small imperfections and add 2 new Nora chairs.
What started as Mowelli supporting Sungai with a floater to collect river plastic, ended up in a partnership with Sungai Design to distribute chairs.
Sungai is based in Indonesia and is dedicated to collecting plastic pollution out of rivers to transform them into outdoor chairs. We are supporting their mission by sponsoring plastic-collecting floaters.
We went to Indonesia to install the barrier ourselves and transform this collected waste into chairs.
After lots of talking, we’ve decided to partner up, so Sungai can have bigger long term impact. Mowelli is now helping with the distribution of the Sungai Design’s chairs in Europe.

We met the Sungai team at the Maison & Objet fair and were instantly moved by their mission. To support them, Mowelli provided floaters that help keep plastic out of the ocean.
Our founder, Laura, traveled to Indonesia to launch the floaters and saw the beautiful chairs Sungai crafts from river plastic. That moment sparked a question:
“How can we bring this powerful story and product to Europe?”
That’s where our journey together began.
At the moment, you can purchase the chairs directly through the Sungai website. We don’t earn any profit from these sales—our goal is simply to help Sungai grow and expand their positive impact.
